DIRECTORATE OF COMPUTER CENTRE AND STEP-B SERVICES
The Computer Centre and Services was established in the year 1994 as a Unit within the Academic Office of the College. This was during the tenure of Late Professor .E. O. A. Ajayi as Provost of the College. Mr. P. O. Obagunfin, a staff of the Registry Department was seconded to coordinate the new Unit. In 1997, the Computer Centre and Services became a distinct Directorate on its own with Mr. O. O. Abatan as its first Director. The primary responsibility of the Computer Centre then was to process student’s results. Thus, the College was one of the first Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria to implement computerization of students’ result. Today, the responsibility of the Computer Centre has been expanded to enable it function as the nerve Centre of all aspects of Information and Communication Technology in the College. There have been six Directors from inception to date, namely, Mr. O. O. Abatan (1994 - 1998), Dr. (Mrs.) .F. A. O. Akinnusi (2000-2004), Mr. F. A. Fatokun (2004-2008), Mr. A. C. Onyimadu (2008-2012), and Mr. J. B. Odunuga (2012 - 2016), while the incumbent Director, Dr. S. Agholor came on board in October, 2016.
BRIEF ABOUT THE INCUMBENT DIRECTOR: DR. S. AGHOLOR
Dr. AGHOLOR, Sunday is a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, Nigeria. He obtained his NCE from the College of Education, Agbor before proceeding to University of Benin, Nigeria, where he bagged a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science. In his quest for higher education, Dr. Agholor attended the University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti) and University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (now Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta) where he obtained Masters in Business Administration and M.Sc. in Computer Science respectively. He later returned back to the same Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta where he bagged a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science. His research area of interest includes Computer Security, Human Computer Interaction, e-Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Agholor is a member of many professional bodies such as Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), Information Technology and Systems Security Professionals (ITSSP), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and a Fellow of Association of Applied Information Management Professionals (AIMP). He has several publications in reputable International and National/Local Journals and has presented many papers in International and National Conferences. He has to his credit three published textbooks.

Ensuring the establishment of minimum infrastructure necessary to implement Library Information System, Students’ Academic Records Information System, Financial Information System, e-Administration and Human Resource Information System, Health Information System, Fleet and Equipment Maintenance Management System, e-Learning, e-Security and CBT/e-Exam as integral working tools of the College for optimal efficiency.
FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CENTRE
1. Development of a comprehensive computerized database of students’ records.
2. Provide ICT support services to Schools and Service Units.
3. Conduct CBT for the College.
4. Monitor and oversee the maintenance of all ICT facilities in the College.
5. Ensure compliance with due process in the usage and maintenance of the STEP-B cybercafé facilities.
6. Initiate, coordinate and supervise various aspects and levels of ICT programmes in the College.
7. Provides Management with sound technical and professional advice to enable Management take appropriate decision in respect to ICT.
8. Organize capacity building related to ICT.
9. Provide and sustain adequate linkages with the College community and the rest of the world through intra and inter-Net.
